DETOX Pt 1 - Introduction

Many a times stoners ask me how they can detoxify, get rid of cannabis substances from their body system, especially when they have to take a drug test. First thing I tell them is that, there are no medical treatments or drugs that are 100percent dependable for detox but there are many detox programs and routines that can be undergone to cleanse your body of toxic substances. This is why I am writing this piece, to educate us on what, why and how of detoxification. First of all, detoxification is "a process or period of time i n which one abstains from or rids the body of toxic or unhealthy substances." This is basically cleansing your body system from toxins that can lead to health problems now or in the future. WHY DETOX? There are various reasons why people embark on the detox journey, mostly personal but for the sake of this piece, I will state just 3 reasons why every stoner must inculcate the habit of detoxifying every now and then. 1. The best way to reset your life is...

Choosing Your Strains

Most times as smokers, we tend not to mind what kind of kush we get and the effect it has on us, as long as we get the High, but sometimes tailoring your strain to suit your mood, need or desire can give you the best result. We have a lot of strains but for the sake of time, I’d be dwelling on 10 different strains. Join me as we cruise along, and more importantly, make sure you’re smoking a blunt. 1. Acapulco Gold: Like the name implies, this strain originated from Acapulco, Mexico. This strain induces euphoria, has an energizing effect, reduces stress, fatigue, pain and nausea. If you’re the busy type, this is the strain for you after work. 2. Purple Haze: This strain gives you a giggly feeling (for someone like me who hardly laughs), relieves pain and muscle spasms too. Safety Tips for Cannabis users

Marijuana has a reputation for being a harmless drug, but this is inaccurate. Many problems can occur as a result of this drug, including, 1. legal problems 2. accidents happening while under the influence of marijuana, 3. problems with mental functioning, and 4. physical health problems. Following these harm reduction tips for MJ users will help to reduce the potential harm of your marijuana use, but it will not necessarily prevent problems from occurring if you choose to partake in this or any type of drug use. 1. Don’t Take Risks With the Law!  Cannot be overemphasized.  Legal problems are often a negative consequence of marijuana use, and it really isn’t worth the risk. If you are using marijuana for recreational purpose, purchase it in small quantities and keep it for your own personal use. If you buy in larger amounts to save money, and particularly if you are passing it on to others, you could be breaking the more serious trafficking drug laws rather than simply possess...

MYTH AND FACTS ABOUT MARIJUANA

Marijuana is an often very misunderstood drug. There is a lot of misinformation out there about the drug, as well as a lot of assumptions based on the misinformation. Cannabis has been used by humans for thousands of years for both medical and recreational purposes. Throughout our history it has been used and shared freely without persecution or discrimination. It is only within the last one-hundred years that we have made it an illegal substance, and all without any science to back it up. The outlawing of marijuana has largely been the result of scaremongering by industrialists and politicians, who have seen it as both a threat and a scapegoat for xenophobia. However, with the drug ongoing and increasing popularity, the scientific community has begun conducting research into exactly what marijuana does to us, and how it can be of medical use. The finding of much of this research is quite eye-opening, and people are becoming much more aware of what this drug can do for mankind. This...
